Luigi Vismara founded Brianza Salumi
in 1978, in Dolzago in Lombardy’s
Lecco province.
Right from the start he dedicated great attention to product quality, in keeping with Italian tradition.
As his descendants joined the company in the ensuing years, its scope expanded to the national and then international level, always combining modern production techniques with artisanal care.
In 2000 a line of organic charcuterie was introduced; in 2002 it was the turn of the first Italian cooked ham with production chain certification; and in 2005 GranForma, the first low-salt cooked ham, was patented.
